The Iowa Monument
Erected by the State of Iowa to commemorated their 5000 fallen soldiers during the battle of Shiloh on the 6th & 7th of April 1862. "Fame" (the bronze figure) inscribes the names of the dead with a pen on the side of the monument.

Cavalry Frustration
Statues on the left of the "Defeated Victory" monument, depicting confederate cavalry officers and their frustration and disappointment of failure. Erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to honor the souths "lost cause" on the battlefield and all who served for the Confederate States of America (CSA). On this spot on April 6, 1862, the Confederates encircled and captured over 2000 Union troops, but ultimately lost the Battle of Shiloh

Low Heads

Battle Gaze

Ruggles Battery
A line of cannon ordered by Confederate Brigadier General Daniel Ruggles ordered formed in response to multiple failed assaults on union lines assembled in the "Hornets Nest". Known as the largest concentration of cannon of the time (62), it helped turn the tide of the battle, breaking Union lines and leading to the surrender and capture of over 2000 Union soldiers.

The Shiloh Church
A recreation of the Shiloh Church, which sustained heavy damage the battle. The battle's namesake is of this church, which also served as a Union hospital. General Sherman's headquarters was also located nearby.

Passing of Honor
The Tennessee Monument at the Shiloh Military National Park depicts three Tennessee soldiers. The flag bearer has fallen, whilst another soldier picks up the flag with a third soldier looking on. The monument honors the 6th Tennessee Infantry, who lost about a dozen color bearers during an assault on the "Hornets Nest" on the first day of the Battle of Shiloh on April 6, 1862

77th Pennsylvania
The monument to the 77th Pennsylvania Infantry stands in the spot where they were ordered to charge upon a cannon enplacement on April 7, 1862, which was then captured. The 77th was then ordered to the far left of the line to repel a confederate assault. The regiment then became partially isolated. They moved over an open field and heavy fire, twice repelling a cavalry attack with heavy confederate losses.
